Ancillare Sponsors YMWIC Summer Education Opportunity for Disadvantaged Youth

HORSHAM, Pa.— Global Clinical and Ancillary Supply Chain leader Ancillare, LP, the first organization exclusively serving the end-to-end clinical and ancillary supply chain management needs of large- and middle-market pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device companies, as well as contract and medical research organizations, today announced it will sponsor a summer education program offered by the Young Men and Women in Charge (YMWIC) Foundation Inc.

The sponsorship will cover tuition expenses for two students from disadvantaged families to attend a Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) summer program. Since 2007, YMWIC has served underprivileged youth in Philadelphia and surrounding communities through education and leadership programs geared toward preparation for careers in STEM fields.

Ancillare CEO Successfully Defends Dissertation on Global Clinical Trial Ancillary Supply Chain, Receives Doctorate of Business Administration from Temple University

HORSHAM, Pa.— Global Clinical and Ancillary Supply Chain leader Ancillare, LP, the first organization exclusively serving the end-to-end clinical and ancillary supply chain management needs of large- and middle-market pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device companies, as well as contract and medical research organizations, announced today its Chief Executive Officer and Founder, Joanne Santomauro, has received an Executive Doctorate of Business Administration (DBA) from the Fox School of Business at Temple University.

The doctoral degree, which was conferred May 9 at the university’s Liacouras Center in Philadelphia, is the capstone to three years’ work involving academic rigor, executive mentorship, and extensive primary research. Dr. Santomauro completed her studies while continuing to oversee day-to-day operations of the global organization. The commencement ceremony was an emotional and gratifying moment for Dr. Santomauro and her family, who were also in attendance.

“I’m very proud of this accomplishment and what it means for the trajectory of our organization,” said Dr. Santomauro. “In addition to the invaluable insights gained by my research, Ancillare will benefit from an extended network of accomplished Fox peers in healthcare and supply chain management.”

“I can’t wait to see where we go from here,” added Dr. Santomauro, who intends to continue to conduct both scholarly and practitioner research geared to test new theories and produce new knowledge that will deepen the understanding of this complex supply chain.

The findings of Dr. Santomauro’s research are chronicled in her dissertation, entitled “An Exploration of the Global Clinical Trial Ancillary Supply Chain and the Drivers of Success During the Pre, In, and Post Phases.”

Dr. Santomauro also successfully defended her dissertation earlier this Spring in partial fulfillment of the requirements of the doctoral program. Scholars and executives who steered and approved Dr. Santomauro’s work include:

Dr. Santomauro intends to publish her research findings in several practitioner journals in the upcoming months.
