
Overview
Lead, develop and build Ancillare’s global business development function.
Responsibilities
- Plan, develop, organize, direct and evaluate the organization’s business development operation and performance.
- Hire, train, coach, mentor and manage a team of business development and proposal professionals to meet Company and departmental objectives.
- Represent Ancillare in a professional manner by upholding Ancillare’s values, embracing diversity and leading with empathy.
- Implement metrics and management systems to track progress of individuals, teams and the overall business development operation.
- Manage client relationships to ensure Ancillare’s clients have a world class customer experience; all customer needs should be satisfactorily met or exceeded, and that fully outsourced, long-lasting engagements are created and sustained.
- Uncover new sources of revenue and promote company deliverables with existing clients.
- Ensure all deliverables are met and work with clients and project management staff to manage expectations and results.
- Build network of potential clients to drive new business opportunities and grow pipeline of potential business.
- Manage the sales process from initial contact to RFI/RFP completion to implementation and transition plans.
- Manage the overall sales and margin goals of the business development operation.
- Effectively lead, supervise, coach, mentor, train and evaluate performance of team members assigned, identifying performance gaps and recommending development opportunities as may be required.
- Meet and or exceed defined goals and agreed to activities as defined in the Ancillare Commission Plan.
- Attend trade shows and other marketing events to promote Ancillare.
- Ensure the accurateness of the Company’s proposal to our clients’ needs, inclusive of regulatory and legal compliance.
- Evaluate the establishment of business development operations internationally to attract global clients.
- Ability and desire to work a project to completion meeting and or exceeding timeline deliverables.
- Demonstrate and drive the Ancillare mission, values and strategy.
- Participate and contribute positively to process improvement initiatives.
- Effectively collaborate with internal colleagues and business partners to successfully complete tasks accurately and timely.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required, will consider equivalent work experience in lieu of degree. Advanced degree a plus.
- 10+ years of proven business development experience required.
- 5+ years of experience in a pharmaceutical/biotech, CRO, or related industry preferred.
- Experience working in a startup organization highly desirable.
