We are currently seeking a Vice President, Business Development to join our global headquarters to direct and oversee the business development and client proposal operations for Ancillare. Build business relationships and marketing plans, drive revenues, attend to client requests and proposals, and ensure deliverables are met in a timely manner. Evaluate the establishment of business development operations abroad.


  • Plan, develop, organize, direct and evaluate the organization’s business development operation and performance.
  • Hire, train, coach, mentor and manage a team of business development and proposal professionals to meet Company and departmental objectives.
  • Implement metrics and management systems to track progress of individuals, teams and the overall business development operation.
  • Uncover new sources of revenue and promote company deliverables with existing clients.
  • Ensure all deliverables are met and work with clients and project management staff to manage expectations and results.
  • Build network of potential clients to drive new business opportunities and grow pipeline of potential business.
  • Manage the sales process from initial contact to RFI/RFP completion to implementation and transition plans.
  • Manage the overall sales and margin goals of the business development operation.
  • Meet and or exceed defined goals and agreed to activities as defined in the Ancillare Commission Plan.
  • Attend trade shows and other marketing events to promote Ancillare.
  • Assist in creating a sustainable marketing program to highlight the company’s services and create business.
  • Manage client relationships to ensure overall client satisfaction; that all needs are satisfactorily met or exceeded, and that fully outsourced, long lasting engagements are created and sustained.
  • Ensure the accurateness of the Company’s proposal to our clients’ needs, inclusive of regulatory and legal compliance.
  • Evaluate the establishment of business development operations abroad to attract global clients.
  • Ability and desire to work a project to completion meeting and or exceeding timeline deliverables.
  • Demonstrate and drive the Ancillare mission, values and strategy.
  • Participate and contribute positively to process improvement initiatives.
  • Travel as may be required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


  • Bachelor’s degree required, will consider equivalent work experience in lieu of degree. Advanced degree a plus.
  • 10+ years of proven business development experience required.
  • 5+ years of experience in a pharmaceutical/biotech, CRO, or related industry preferred.
  • Experience working in a startup organization highly desirable.
