Overview

We are seeking a Senior Infrastructure and Security Engineer to join our team who will be responsible for analyzing, monitoring, and improving Ancillare’s security posture, as well as the maintenance of the desktop and infrastructure environments.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for assisting in the implementation, monitoring, and automating of infrastructure, desktop and cybersecurity policies and controls across the Ancillare organization.
  • Oversee the deployment and maintenance of datacenter and cloud infrastructure.
  • Install, configure, test and maintain operating systems, applications, database software and system management tools.
  • Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure including data networks, external connectivity, internally developed applications, 3rd party platforms and systems, network security, servers, storage, and backup solutions.
  • Responsible for the design and delivery of projects supporting IT strategy and vision.
  • Under the direction of the Manager Global Infrastructure & Security manage a mix of long-term projects and short-term service requests with a high degree of flexibility and effective delegation.
  • Routinely test and identify any potential network and system vulnerabilities.
  • Work with external vendors as needed to implement security measures, and lead security activities such as penetration testing, and phishing campaigns.
  • Respond to all system and/or network security breaches. Troubleshoot security and network problems.
  • Perform or assist with routine server maintenance, ensuring that all patches and upgrades meet company security standards.
  • Support server-side systems hosted both on-premises and in cloud environments.
  • Respond and escalate incidents impacting services such as outages or security incidents.
  • Participate and work on projects as may be assigned.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
  • Respond to off hours incidents where required and as may be scheduled.
  • Demonstrate and drive the Ancillare mission, values, and strategy.
  • Participate and contribute positively to process improvement initiatives.
  • On-call duties as required
  • Travel as may be required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Science & Technology or Computer Science required, Graduate degree a plus .
  • 5 + years’ work experience in cybersecurity desktop and infrastructure required.
  • Demonstrated technical knowledge of Microsoft operating systems.
  • Demonstrated technical knowledge of MS infrastructure, Azure, Meraki networking and wireless APs, and Windows Desktop environments.
  • Demonstrated understanding of cybersecurity best practices, principles, tools and techniques.
  • Demonstrated understanding of security regulations such as NIST, PCI, HIPAA, HITECH and ISO/IEC 27000.

  • Demonstrated practical experience in ability to plan and manage technical delivery of new functionality and enhancements.

  • Demonstrated effective project management skills, analytical and problem-solving abilities, and definite customer service focus.
  • Ability to effectively work through ambiguous/undefined problems, to think abstractly.

  • Ability to work independently and present a work style that is inclusive to ensure success in cross-team collaboration/s.
  • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a fast paced/high pressure environment and make sound decisions in split second or emergency situations.
